The Client

Business NSW (NSW BC) is a member-based business improvement organisation with more than 100 years’ experience in advice, networking, support and advocacy.

Of the few enduring, independent, not-for-profit organisations in Australia, NSWBC is the only one focused on the wellbeing of the business community. Their purpose is to work closely with members to identify key issues and find practical policy solutions to ensure businesses across NSW prosper and grow.

They are advocates for a healthy business environment and a stable economy, and all operating surplus goes back to support NSWBC’s advocacy initiatives.

The Challenge

Like many businesses, NSWBC’s End User Compute hardware was outdated, leading to slow performance and limited compatibility with newer software.

In their search for a long-term solution, they needed devices that would:

  • Be reliable over several years,
  • Offer the ability to upgrade key components (such as RAM),
  • Provide ongoing technical support to avoid disruption to their operations.

The Solution

After consultation with AC3 Solution Architects, NSWBC chose HP laptops for their fleet.

HP is a strong advocate for sustainability with a wide range of their products built with the planet and people in mind, and their devices are durable and known for their reliability, upgradability, and extended support services.

In addition to creating less new waste and using recycled materials for many of its components, HP currently uses 100% renewable electricity to power the final assembly of over 95% of its laptops and monitors worldwide (Source).

The Result

NSWBC rolled out their fleet of HP laptops. They have been reliant, provided the ability to upgrade the RAM to meet the needs of modern applications, and HP support has provided additional longevity.

By investing in reliable, upgradable, and well-supported devices, NSWBC not only chose HP laptops that offered operational efficiency, but also chose sustainable technology that offered them long-term benefits.
